Saul Nosanchuk was called to the Ontario bar in 1959. During his 17 years in private practice, he practised in the areas of criminal law, family law, personal injury, labour arbitration and wrongful dismissal. From 1968 to 1976, he was a partner in the law firm of Gignac, Sutts, Zalev and Nosanchuk which was the predecessor of Sutts, Strosberg LLP.
In November 1976, Saul was appointed as a Judge of the Ontario Provincial Court, now designated as the Ontario Court of Justice. From January 1973 to December 2007, he served as a Sessional Instructor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Windsor teaching courses in Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Sentencing. On December 1, 1986 he was appointed as an Adjunct Professor of Law and continues to serve the Law School in that capacity.
On October 7, 2008, Mr. Justice Nosanchuk retired as a Judge of the Ontario Court of Justice. On January 26, 2009, he rejoined Sutts, Strosberg LLP as an Associate Partner.
